PURPOSE OF POSITION:Teach Art to children in a multi-graded K-5 classroom using curriculum and teaching strategies consistent with Aurora's mission and core values and curriculum guidelines
RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruction
The Aurora School Art Specialist will:
- Actively engage with each student in a manner that fosters a positive self-concept, an enjoyment and development of the visual arts and a feeling of respect for the Aurora community and beyond
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Arts degree
- Three years of experience as an elementary school art teacher
